Yellow page Listings and Google AdWords
I hope 2008 is going well !!
Recently I took call from one of my newer clients, asking some questions about Yellow Pages.
It went something like this:
“The phone book sales person is here right now, and they’re telling us we will not be in the phone book if we don’t buy an ad.”
It’s hard to believe that some stoop so low… This is really low.
Not to mention the fact… How many people REALLY use the phone book ? Who does not have Broadband ??
The phone book I use is www.WhitePages.com or Google. Maybe there are a few people left who do not have a web
enabled cellular phone or broadband at home. Maybe…. 20%. Why pay to reach 20% of your possible audience ?
The phone book is a BAD INVESTMENT.
Try this -
1 – Google something you wish to buy
2 – Do you see the first few names that are returned on a search ?
3- These are the folks who will get the call from the Broadband Searchers
4 – The company selling what you searched for is using a Word Search Purchase
What is a word search purchase ??
It allows you to buy a customer’s search for a word in a particular geographic area.
The Phone Book doesn’t do this very well.
But wait — my phone book company told me they will list me on the internet.
Ok ….. Search for your product and location on a search engine … Does your business information show up on the first page? Is it the phone book ad?
If it is GOOD JOB ! (skip to the end and pat yourself on the back)
If not… read on
Research Google and the keyword “Adwords”. You will find you can keep this well within your budget and gain new clients.
This is a much better and more far reaching investment. If you need any help with your telephone or data needs, give me a call.
It would be a pleasure to serve you.
Happy 2008

New Years Resolutions
Happy New Year !
Certainly you have resolved to change a few things this year, and I wish you success !
I am hearing more and more about IP Telephones and remote answering service etc.
Be certain you choose a valid provider and an excellent integrator. It helps to have a telecom circuit advisor to insure that
you are purchasing enough bandwidth to support both your voice and data service needs.
Personally I work on these projects all the time…..
Give me call it would be a pleasure to help you.
